About Trezor® Wallet™
The Trezor® Wallet™ is the original hardware wallet by SatoshiLabs, built to keep your cryptocurrencies safe and under your full control. Unlike online or software wallets, Trezor stores your private keys offline, protecting your assets from hackers and malware.
Every login, transaction, and confirmation happens directly on your physical Trezor device — ensuring your crypto stays secure at all times.
Secure Login with Trezor® Suite
To access your Trezor wallet, you’ll use the Trezor Suite — an official desktop and web application developed by SatoshiLabs. It provides a secure interface to view your balances, send and receive assets, and manage your crypto portfolio.
- Connect your Trezor hardware wallet using a USB cable.
- Launch Trezor Suite or visit trezor.io/start.
- Authorize the connection directly on your Trezor device.
- Enter your PIN on the hardware device (not on your computer).
This login method eliminates phishing risks and ensures no sensitive data is entered on an insecure website.
Why Login Security Matters
Each time you log into your Trezor wallet, the device verifies the authenticity of the connection before displaying your account data. Your private keys never leave the hardware wallet, making unauthorized access virtually impossible.
- Offline private key storage prevents online attacks
- Two-factor confirmation via hardware screen
- Optional passphrase for advanced users
With Trezor, even if your computer is compromised, your funds remain secure because approvals must happen on the physical wallet itself.
First-Time Setup & Login
If you’re logging in for the first time, visit the official setup guide at trezor.io/start. There, you can initialize your device, create a backup recovery seed, and connect Trezor Suite.
- Download and install Trezor Suite for desktop
- Connect your Trezor via USB
- Create and confirm your PIN
- Write down your recovery seed on paper (never online)
After setup, each future login will require your Trezor device for authentication.
Protecting Your Login Credentials
Always ensure you are on the official Trezor website before entering any information. Trezor will never ask for your recovery seed or PIN online. These details must only be entered directly on your hardware device screen.
- Bookmark the official domain: trezor.io
- Never share your recovery phrase
- Keep your firmware up to date
- Use official cables and accessories
Troubleshooting Login Issues
If your Trezor wallet isn’t detected when logging in:
- Reinstall Trezor Bridge
- Try a different USB port or cable
- Ensure your browser supports Trezor Suite
- Restart your computer after updating drivers
